Making the decision to work on your mental health and finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. Anika is grateful for the opportunity to come alongside you on this journey! Her approach to counseling is relational, mindfulness-based, trauma-informed, and compassionate. She uses a variety of techniques and modalities in sessions to meet clients where they are and create a safe place to learn, heal, and grow. With authenticity and honesty as core values, Anika strives to empower each client to reconnect with their inner voice, embrace who they are, and feel confident showing up as their authentic self both in and outside of therapy.
Anika creates a therapy space where clients feel comfortable showing up as their full selves. Sessions are judgment-free and supportive, allowing room for humor, flexibility, and doing what feels regulating in the moment. An occasional Telehealth co-therapist (a very curious cat) loves to show up for Anika's clients, as well.
Anika has extensive experience working with individuals of all ages who identify as neurodiverse. She is passionate about supporting clients with ADHD and autism and recognizes that living with neurodiversity can bring unique strengths and challenges. Through her work, she aims to empower clients to unmask, feel understood, and move toward a life that reflects who they truly are. Anika also enjoys supporting adolescents and early adults, especially during periods of major life transition. In addition, she is committed to providing affirming care for LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC individuals, recognizing the unique systemic and identity-related stressors these communities often face.
She has received her Clinical Trauma Professional and Certified Grief Informed Professional certifications, strengthening her ability to support clients navigating trauma and grief. She holds degrees in both Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling, supporting her passion for advocating for students and individuals across the lifespan.
